Extension of Filing Due Date for Quarterly Taxes and VAT
The St. Kitts and Nevis Inland Revenue Department is committed to ensuring a seamless and efficient tax filing experience for all our taxpayers. We are pleased to announce an extension of the filing due date for Quarterly Taxes and VAT submissions.
The new deadline for filing and payment is now Wednesday, 18th December 2024.
This extension is provided to give our taxpayers additional time to comply with their tax obligations without unnecessary stress or inconvenience. We encourage you to utilize this opportunity to finalize and submit your filings promptly.

Reminder to Register and Report Income from Online Rental Accommodations
Property owners renting accommodations through online platforms such as Airbnb, Expedia, Booking, Vrbo, TripAdvisor, HomeToGo, Kayak, and similar services that income earned from these rentals must be reported in accordance with the Value Added Tax (VAT) Act, Cap 18.47 and the (Island Enhancement Fund) Act, Cap 20.51 requirements

Early Closure Notice – Nov 14, 2024
The Inland Revenue Department will closed at 12:00 pm on 14th November 2024 for the funeral service of our dear colleague, Te’Jordeneh (Stevernia) Small.
Additionally, the Cashier Services will close at 11:00 am. We encourage customers to plan accordingly for any transactions.

Transition to Electronic Remittances
Effective immediately, the Inland Revenue Department will no longer mail remittances to taxpayers, one exception being the 2024 Property Tax Remittance Form. To adapt to this change seamlessly, we urge you to register for the MY Government portal, which provides a convenient platform for filing your tax returns electronically.

Registration for SMARTS my government Portal Account
To streamline tax transactions and enhance efficiency, taxpayers are encouraged to register for their SMARTS my government Portal account during their visit. Our dedicated customer support representatives are stationed in the lobby to help with online registration, filing, and payment.

Renewal of 2024 Business and Occupations Licence
The deadline for renewing your 2024 Business and Occupations Licence is fast approaching. Please ensure to visit the Inland Revenue Department before March 31, 2024, to complete this process.
