The Inland Revenue Department is currently undergoing a validation exercise to ensure that our taxpayer information is up-to-date and accurate for a smooth transition to a new Tax Revenue Management System.

January 2023 filing extended to February 22nd
Kindly take note that the Department has given an extension to file for the January 2023 period from the 15th February 2023 to the 22nd February 2023.

Renew licenses before January 31, 2023
Taxpayers are encouraged to renew their Business and Occupation Licence and Vehicle License before the renewal deadline of January 31, 2023.

E-Services challenges resolved
Kindly take note that the challenges experienced with E-Services have been resolved.

Unincorporated Business Tax (UBT) rate returns to 4%
Please be reminded the Covid Relief reduced rate for Unincorporated Business Tax (UBT) expired on August 31, 2022. Effective September 01, 2022 the Unincorporated Business Tax (UBT) rate returns to 4%

AEOI portal closed from 13th October 2022
The Competent Authority of Saint Kitts and Nevis for the Exchange of Information, hereby notifies the Financial Institutions (FIs) that its Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) portal will be closed from 13th October 2022 to facilitate technical maintenance and updates.
FIs will be able to log in and address errors and submit any outstanding filings when the portal is reopened on 1st November 2022.

Passport Requirement for Non-Nationals sitting Road Theory Exams
The Traffic Department requires non-nationals to present their passport at the road theory examination center before being allowed to sit the exam. The Department also recognizes that some persons may have an SKN Citizenship Certificate, but not a SKN passport. The Traffic Department accepts this as well.

Update your Personal Information
The Inland Revenue Department is requesting all taxpayers whose personal information is obsolete, to kindly visit the office at their earliest convenience to facilitate updates.

Liquor Licence Renewal Process
All Liquor Licence renewals start at the Sir Lee Llewelyn Moore Judicial Complex (Court’s Cashier). The stub given there, should be presented to the Inland Revenue Department in order to process the Licence.
