Kindly note that over this weekend, starting from April 30th at 6 pm until Monday, May 3rd at noon, there will be a planned service interruption due to scheduled maintenance on our website, E-Services, and Information Technology infrastructure. During this planned service interruption all of the services offered via our website will be unavailable. Any emails sent to the staff during this scheduled outage window will be queued and delivered once service has been resumed. It is the Department’s goal to ensure our infrastructure meets the need of our customers.
We do apologize to our customers and all other stakeholders for any inconvenience that this service interruption may cause. We trust that all systems will be back up and fully functional by Monday, May 3rd in the afternoon.
The Inland Revenue Department wants to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation and support regarding this scheduled maintenance and system upgrade.
The Comptroller is advising that any person who has not filed tax returns and/or has outstanding taxes, should make suitable arrangements to become up to date before the due date of the Business & Occupation License, which is March 31, 2021.
If appropriate arrangements are not made within the prescribed time, the Comptroller shall make a recommendation to the Minister for an Order to revoke or suspend your business license in accordance with the provisions of the Licenses on Businesses & Occupations Act. Cap 18.20.
The first quarterly filing is fast approaching and taxes are due and payable on the 15th March, 2021. We are kindly reminding the general public if they haven’t received the remittance in the mail by the first week of March, kindly visit the department during our working hours from 8:00 to 4:00 to collect a copy and avoid late fees.
Kindly note that all businesses that are no longer in operation, are reminded to complete the termination of registration form with the Department immediately to avoid forms being issued to a business that is no longer in operation.
Kindly take note the Department is reminding businesses that Business & Occupation License and also Liquor License are due and payable on March 31st 2021. Persons are asked to visit the Department early to avoid the rush.
Kindly take note the Department is in the process of updating its web server. This process is scheduled to take place on Thursday 4th February, 2021 into the start of the next work day Friday 5th February, 2021.
The Saint Kitts and Nevis AEOI Competent Authority wishes to advise the Financial Institutions that it is now extending its FATCA reporting deadline for the 2019 reporting period to 30th November 2020. The Saint Kitts and Nevis AEOI Competent Authority is also extending its CRS reporting deadline for the 2020 reporting period to 30th November 2020.
The Inland Revenue Department is requesting all taxpayers whose personal information is obsolete, to kindly visit the office at their earliest convenience to facilitate updates.
All Liquor Licence renewals start at the Sir Lee Llewelyn Moore Judicial Complex (Court’s Cashier). The stub given there, should be presented to the Inland Revenue Department in order to process the Licence.
