BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, 31st March 2020 (Inland Revenue Department) – The St. Kitts and Nevis Inland Revenue Department (SKNIRD) recognizes the health and well-being of our staff and customers as a priority. As a direct response to curbing the threat of COVID-19, the IRD wishes to advise the public that pursuant to the provisions of the Tax Administration and Procedures Act – Chapter 20.52, all taxes and licenses due and payable during the month of March 2020 have been extended to 15 April 2020 without interest and penalties.
This wavier of interest and penalties is automatic, and taxpayers do not need to file any additional forms or contact the IRD to qualify.
The Department strongly recommends utilizing our user-friendly E-Services platform to fulfill all tax obligations. In addition to the filing of Tax Returns and making tax payments, persons can also renew both their Driver’s License and their Motor Vehicle Registration. Signing-up for E-Services is quick and easy. Our E-Services is seamless as instructions are provided at every step.
We have also deployed additional resources to support your interactions with us online. The online services portal can be accessed via our website at www.sknird.com.
